I graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. For the past fifteen years I have been practicing clinical veterinary medicine in the Philadelphia area. Five years ago, I also became involved in shelter medicine as part of a non-profit cat rescue. Additionally, for the past seven years I have served as medical director for a veterinary compounding pharmacy in New York. I recently started working with a forensics company on legal cases relating to situations involving animals. Finally, I write a weekly blog for Petbenefits.com relating to various aspects of veterinary medicine. I live outside of Philadelphia with my two sons, my dog Paisley, five cats and a gerbil.
