Bindu Adai is inspirational, romance and young-adult novel writer. She is the author of a novel, The Chrysalis, and a memoir, 38 Candles.Like many first generation Indians, Bindu started college as a pre-med student but eventually diverted from the traditional well-worn path and pursued her love of books and writing. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree (courtesy of all those pre-med classes) and double majors in English and Mass Media, along with a host of accolades, including the President’s Award. She later pursued a master’s degree in English, but her strong writing and people skills eventually led her towards a very non-literary career path in the software industry. But it was in the midst of the daily 9 to 5 grind where she reconnected with her early love of writing and eventually completed her first novel The Chrysalis.Although Bindu currently lives in sunny South Florida, she is still known to say “y’all” with a strong southern drawl, a dead-giveaway of her early Texas roots. An avid chai and coffee connoisseur, she loves discovering new coffee houses and browsing in bookstores. She is currently working on her next novel, Almost Paradise: Book 1 of The Garden of Eden, a serialized Young Adult (YA) novel.
