Bonnie Sockel-Stone is board certified in Marital and Family Law, which is her sole area of practice. She began her professional career with the accounting firms of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells and Ernst and Young. Her extensive accounting experience is utilized on a regular basis in her Marital and Family Law practice. Ms. Sockel-Stone has been recognized as an outstanding family lawyer in Florida Trends-Florida Legal Elite 2011 and 2012 Publications. She has also been selected by Attorney At Law Magazine as one of the 13 to Watch in 2013. Ms. Sockel-Stone is a member of the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, the Miami-Dade County chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, in which she served on the Continuing Legal Education committee. She is also a member of the Florida Family Law Inns of Court. Ms. Sockel-Stone is always interested in providing pro bono legal services, especially regarding children’s issues. She has served as a Lawyer For Children pro bono lawyer for foster care youth, provides pro bono legal services to domestic violence victims and regularly serves as a pro bono Guardian Ad Litem. She has also lectured on Domestic Violence issues at the Jewish Community Services educational programs. Ms. Sockel-Stone devotes a great deal of her free time giving back to the community. She served as President of the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Miami Section and as President of Kidside, Inc. She has also served on the CHARLEE board, the Temple Beth Sholom School Board and the City of North Miami Personnel Board. Ms. Sockel-Stone has also served as a hearing officer for the Miami-Dade County Department of Business Development.
