Camille Mackler is a French-American attorney who has devoted her entire legal career to the practice of immigration and naturalization law in the United States. Ms. Mackler is a graduate of New York Law School (J.D. 2006) and the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service (B.S.F.S. 2001) and has been representing immigrants in private practice since 2006. Prior to that, Ms. Mackler worked for various organizations providing free or low-cost legal services to some of New York City’s most vulnerable populations, including refugees, undocumented immigrants, and abused women. She continues to participate in legal clinics and other volunteer efforts hosted by local bar associations, community organizations, and government agencies to assist low-income immigrants.Ms. Mackler also frequently contributes to advocacy efforts towards elected officials, both locally and in Washington, DC, advocating for immigration reform. She is the founder of the photo-blog Immigration in Pictures(TM) (www.immigrationinpictures.com). Ms. Mackler is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA) and is co-chair of its New York Chapter Media and Congressional Advocacy Committee. Ms. Mackler is fluent in French and English and proficient in Spanish. She has traveled extensively through Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.
