Laura Galvin, a graduate of Boston University, with a Bachelor of Science from the School of Communications in Public Relations, longed for a way to incorporate her love for animals into the bigger picture. Encouraged by her late father Roy, and husband, Billy, she took a leap and applied to the Veterinary Science program at Mount Ida College, where she was accepted and began her course in late 2010. Over the past few years Laura has worked with Michelle Fournier at Durty Harry's helping with local charity events, as well as a veterinary technician at a small animal medical center outside Boston. She is currently doing externships at Angell Animal Medical Center and Tufts University's Foster Hospital for small animals and nearing completion of her certification as a veterinary technologist. After years of daydreaming about the perfect job involving Michelle and their dogs, the two set out to launch Harry's Picks, a doggy lifestyle website designed FOR and BY dog lovers. The site is designed to be the most comprehensive, dynamic, trust-worthy resource for all services, accommodations, parks, vets, beaches, travel tips and more, for living life with your dog.
