I joined BrightStar Care in 2011 as the Vice President of Quality & Clinical Operations. I have 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and a background in advance practice nursing, executive management, and education. Prior to BrightStar Care, I served as Senior Vice President of Health and Ancillary Services at Horizon Bay Retirement Living in Tampa, where I was responsible for the oversight and execution of strategic company objectives within healthcare and memory care product lines. Prior to that, I was the Vice President of Clinical Services for Brookdale Senior Living, where I was highly involved in the department of their automated assessment and service planning tool, as well as their risk management systems, leading the company’s efforts in healthcare and memory care services. I served on numerous boards and associations in the industry, including the Alzheimer’s Association, the Assisted Living Federation of America, and the National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners. I have been published in various professional and industry journals and I speak at the national level on a variety of topics relevant to senior care. I earned my undergraduate degree at Marquette University and my masters in Gerontology, Advance-Practice Nursing at Boston University. I also served as an instructor for the College of Nursing at Rush University and taught as a clinical assistant professor at Marquette University’s College of Nursing.
