Use hypnosis to enjoy exercise and create a fit and healthy body

Hypnosis is a wonderful and proven way to help you gain control over your mind. Working with a qualified hypnotherapist is very easy, and they can help you reprogram poor and unproductive habits, like not having the motivation to exercise. Keep in mind this expert advice so that you can workout more and get that healthy and fit body that you have always wanted.

Do

Do work with a qualified Hypnotherapist

When seeking out a Hypnotherapist, make sure that they are certified by a highly qualified and authentic certifying organization such as The International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) or The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA). There are many people practicing hypnosis that have had very few hours of actual and appropriate training. IACT requires 200 hours of initial certification training and then requires a minimum of 30 hours of additional training annually to uphold their training standards.

A hypnotherapist can assist you in reprogramming poor and unproductive habits. You might call it “de-hypnotizing” an individual out of all the unhealthy or unproductive behaviors they “hypnotized” themselves into. Having access to technology these days, it is very easy to find qualified hypnotists on line. With the use of Skype and/or the phone you can easily meet and many properly trained Hypnotherapist’s can work with you on formulating a plan and creating very powerful audios that can be listened to for 30 days in a row to create the behavioral change you so desire.

Do keep your powerful, positive suggestions simple

Your powerful suggestions should be simple. Think of the subconscious mind being similar to an inner child. The more simple the powerful suggestions are, the easier they are to imbed into the subconscious mind, which will then be played out by the conscious actions.

Do make sure that your powerful suggestions are stated in the positive

The subconscious mind doesn’t recognize the negative. For example, if I were to say to you, “Don’t think about a pink elephant”, it is most likely that you would have a hard time not seeing that pink elephant in your mind. Oftentimes that is why children seem to be defying an adult when they continually do things that a parent has asked them not to do. If a dog owner points outside and commands, “don’t go outside” with the door open, most likely that dog will retreat to the outdoors. Get the picture?

It is most effective to take a suggestion of what you do not want to do and turn it into a suggestion of what you would like to do instead. How does this feel...”from this moment forward I will wake up every day excited to get out of bed and exercise. Why? Because I will feel like I have accomplished something that will allow me to feel exhilarated and on the way to having the body of my dreams.” Doesn’t that feel good?

Do utilize powerful hypnotic audios that can be listened to for 30 days in a row

Research has proven that it takes anywhere from 21-30 days of repetition to create behavioral change. It has been proven, through their ongoing successes, that listening to their audios every morning for 30 days is the key to changing their behaviors and learning to lead the active and healthy lifestyle they only had been able to dream about prior to experiencing hypnosis.

Do make sure to listen to your audio before you get out of bed in the morning

The morning is the most powerful time to practice hypnosis while experiencing your powerful hypnotic audios. There are a couple of reasons why this is true. First of all, you have had a good nights sleep and will not be as prone to fall asleep, but instead go into a deep state of relaxation or hypnosis. It is known that hypnosis is not sleep and sleep is not hypnosis. If you are concerned about having to get up that much earlier in the morning, know this to be true...a half hour of hypnosis is equal to 3-5 hours of sleep. Isn’t that worth waking up a half hour earlier for? You bet!

Another reason that morning is the optimal time to practice your hypnosis is because it allows you to start your day on the right foot. Allowing yourself to practice hypnosis first thing in the morning enables you to absorb all of the powerful suggestions that will now follow you and affect you throughout your day. What an excellent way to begin each and every day which will surely catapult you into the success that you deserve.

Do get excited and visualize what your life and body looks like as though the changes have already occurred

It is proven that when hypnosis mixes with powerful emotions, amazing changes can and will occur. The more excited you allow yourself to be about creating change that will lead to a healthier, fitter lifestyle and body, the more powerful the outcome. While listening to your audio in the morning and several times throughout the day, allow yourself to have fun and get lost visualizing that body of your dreams.

Imagine yourself on a beach looking incredible in your bathing suit, or possibly running a marathon (or half marathon), climbing or surfing or whatever it is that gets your juices flowing. Imagine all the compliments that will be flowing in your direction as people notice the beautiful changes in your appearance. The more you can fantasize and experience the benefits of the change you are looking to achieve, the stronger your hypnotic outcome will be.

Don't

Do not skip your due diligence

There are many individuals that are becoming hypnotherapist’s that do not have the training that is so important to assist you in achieving your goals over the long term . The organization that requires the most hours of training in the field and has been around for an extended amount of time is IACT, The International Association of Counselors and Therapists. One of the longest standing organizations is the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH). They do not require as many hours of training, but have certainly turned out some wonderfully talented hypnotists due to the quality of their teaching staff.

Do not forget that you do hypnosis, hypnosis doesn’t do you

If you are serious about achieving any and all goals utilizing hypnosis techniques, know that you must do the work. I have a saying...”Hypnosis works 100% of the time when done correctly.” In other words, if your hypnotherapist asks you to listen to your powerful audio for 30 consecutive days in a row, please do that. On the few occasions that a client has stated, “I guess I am just not hypnotizable because it just isn’t working,” I have found that when I ask, “did you follow my instructions instantly, willingly and completely,” which is a repetitive request I make of my clients in and out of hypnosis, “did you listen to your audio for 30 consecutive days?”, inevitably their answer is “well....I tried” or “I just don’t have the time.”

Again, it is important to realize that ½ hour of hypnosis (listening to an audio) is equal to 3-5 hours of sleep. Consequently, the wonderful benefits of hypnosis are multi faceted.

Do not ask for what you don’t want; ask for what you do want

It is human nature to say things like “I don’t want to smoke anymore” or “I do not want to be overweight”. Instead, begin to ask for things like, “I want to be a healthy and fit individual” or “from this moment forward I want to learn to crave exercise and eat healthy fresh foods”. The doors of change will open widely when you begin to ask for what you do want and not for what you don’t want.

Do not use the words: try, wish and hope

Language is an extremely hypnotic aspect of our life. Yoda, on Star Wars, was an extremely wise being and his quote; ”Do or do not, there is no try” is so pertinent to creating positive change and achieving our desired goals. From this moment forward, replace the words, “try, wish and hope” for the words, “can, will and do”. I like to ask my clients to “try and pick up that pencil”. They will then pick up that pencil. I will then say, “No, I said “try” and pick up that pencil”. Sometimes we will go through rounds of them “doing“ instead of trying. That is when we end up in laughter and the point has reached home.

Do not ever feel that you can’t be hypnotized

Often, people might say, “I have been curious about hypnosis but I am sure that I can’t be hypnotized.” The truth of this matter is that anyone of average intelligence or above, can be hypnotized. First of all, only a very light level of hypnosis or relaxation is necessary to create behavioral change with hypnosis. Secondly, all of us are hypnotized over and over throughout the course of each and every day.

Hypnosis occurs when you are reading a book, watching TV and playing computer games. You do not have to have your eyes closed to be hypnotized. Are you aware of how damaging it can be for a human being who is in the midst of disease to hear these words from their doctor, “you have 3 months to live”. Often that is exactly the outcome. What does that say to you?

Acquiring a fit and healthy body can actually be fun and easy when you revisit the part of the mind that controls our habits, beliefs and perceptions. That part of the mind is called the subconscious mind and is the General Manager of the conscious mind. Introducing hypnosis into our lives is an alternative, healthy, drug free method to gaining control of so many various areas in our lives. Anything that you desire to create in your life can be created through the use of hypnosis, and creates a feeling of self-empowerment that can affect the way we feel about ourselves and lead to a much happier and fulfilling lifestyle.
