She holds a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology as well as a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She has taught many undergraduate courses including Child Development and Adolescent Psychology. She also has co-authored several empirical peer-reviewed publications that focus on adoption, foster care, and same-sex parenting. She is the Research Coordinator for Dr. Abbie Goldberg at Clark University. April is also a psychotherapy clinician-in-training and has conducted therapy with adult individuals, couples, children, and families in a variety of settings including at an outpatient community mental health center, a primary care family health clinic, and at a university campus counseling center. |
