Christine is a shareholder at McCausland Keen & Buckman in the Tax and Business practice areas. Her practice focuses on tax and business planning for privately held corporations and pass through entities, including limited liability companies, partnerships and S-corporations. Christine works extensively with firms in the financial services industry, including asset management firms, hedge funds and private equity funds on transactions, contract matters, ownership agreements and transition planning. She also supports clients with international business formation issues and tax planning with respect to international expansion of U.S. businesses; complex commercial contracting (domestic and international) for suppliers and purchasers of hazardous materials, heavy equipment and professional services. In addition to handling transactional matters, Christine represents clients in tax controversy matters at the federal, state and local level. Examples include audit defense, tax appeals, real estate assessment appeals and realty transfer tax issues. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 1983 and received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law in 1987.
