Dr. Reaven has worked in the field of developmental disabilities as a clinician, researcher and educator since 1985. Since 2001, she has been Director of the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Clinic of JFK Partners. Clinical and research interests include the co-occurrence of mental health symptoms in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, including the development of a treatment intervention for anxiety symptoms in children with ASD (Facing Your Fears: Group Therapy for Managing Anxiety in Children with High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders; Reaven et al 2011). . Dr. Reaven is currently the Principal Investigator on a federally funded project (NIMH) exploring the initial dissemination of Facing Your Fears.Jessica Stern has worked with parents and children in education and research settings since 2009. As an undergraduate, she studied child development and parent-child relationships at Pomona College and University College London. She is currently assisting Dr. Reaven with an NIH-funded project evaluating the Facing Your Fears program for children with autism and anxiety.
