Kyra Ruscio, M.S., has been teaching Physical Education and Health at Denver Academy since 2012. Her B.A. in K-12 Human Performance is from Metropolitan State University and her M.S. in Counseling is from the University of Phoenix. Kyra enjoys working with K-12 students of all ability to levels, teaching them to adopt fitness and health as a daily practice. She and her PE staff attempt to educate their fellow faculty members about ways to incorporate movement into their daily lessons. Kyra has presented a movement lecture entitled, “Active Brains, Active Bodies,” at a variety of conferences in Denver. Kyra’s husband, Vincent, is also a physical education teacher working for Denver Public Schools. Whether it be her choice or not, their six month old daughter will most likely be a healthy, active child.
