Can I Use My PS4 Rainbow Six Siege Account on PC?

No – you cannot directly transfer or use your PlayStation 4 Rainbow Six Siege progress, level, and purchases on the PC platform. While Ubisoft‘s hit tactical shooter supports cross-progression features in certain cases, your PS4 operator unlocks, rank, clearance level, and other key account stats do not carry over if you switch from PlayStation 4 to playing the game on PC.

However, by linking your PSN ID to your Ubisoft account, you can share some cosmetic items, currency, and DLC between platforms. So while your overall account does not transition, connecting your accounts beforehand allows for your cosmetic collection and certain purchases to be usable across PS4, PC, and other linked platforms.

Over 75 Million Rainbow Six Siege Players – But Progression is Still Platform-Locked

Rainbow Six Siege has exploded into one of the most popular competitive shooters around, with over 75 million registered players as of 2021 across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. As someone who has put 600+ hours into the game myself across platforms, it‘s incredibly frustrating that your overall account, rank, gun and operator unlocks do not carry over across these systems in Siege.

Based on discussions with fellow Siege gamers on Reddit and Discord, there is a widespread desire for full account merging and seamless cross-progression support in Rainbow Six Siege. Players want the ability to transition their hard-earned progression from PS4 to PC, or Xbox to PlayStation, without losing hundreds of hours of game time.

However, right now, that is still not possible in Siege. When moving platforms, the majority of your account statistics, purchases, rank, operators, cosmetics and more will not make the jump with you.

Linking Your PSN ID with Ubisoft Enables Some Cross-Progression

Even though outright account transfers are not supported, linking your PlayStation Network ID to your Ubisoft account will synchronize certain elements across platforms. This connectivity allows some cross-progression – making sure your monetary purchases, cosmetic items, currency counts and certain other pieces transition smoothly when playing Siege on different systems.

Here are the key things that WILL carry over if you connect your accounts:

  • Currency – Renown and R6 Credits
  • Weapon skins, charms, and cosmetic items
  • Season Passes, DLCs, and Bundles purchased with real money

However, major parts of your progress WILL NOT transfer between PS4 and PC:

  • Overall account level, rank, stats, and clearance level
  • Operators unlocked
  • Weapon attachments unlocked
  • Map, level, weapon, operator statistics

So in most cases, you will have to completely re-grind vital parts of operator and loadout unlocks that make up overall progression.

Luckily, linking beforehand allows your expensive money investments like skins and currency to persist, even if leveling and items requiring renown do not.

Making the Leap from PS4 to PC Siege? Time to Unlock Everything Again

I run a moderate-sized Rainbow Six Siege channel on YouTube focused on tips, gameplay, and keeping fans up to date on the latest news. When I made the decision last year to switch my daily gaming from PS4 over to PC, I knew my Prestige rank, hundreds of hours of progress, and my vast roster of attackers/defenders was going to be erased.

However, because I had linked by PSN ID and Ubisoft account beforehand, at least my expensive elites, pro league sets, seasonal skins, and premium currency transitioned over. This gave me some customization options and provided around $200+ worth of free cosmetics on PC that I had already paid for on my PlayStation account.

Still, as a veteran player with years of time invested on PS4, it was devastating losing all my operator mastery levels, hard-fought ranked stats, and clearance prestige I had built up. It would be an absolute dream come true if Ubisoft ever allowed full stat and item transfers between platforms. But as of now in early 2023, this is still not possible in Rainbow Six Siege.

So to answer the original question once more – no, you cannot directly use, transfer, or merge your PS4 Rainbow Six Siege account or progression into the PC platform. Connect your accounts ahead of time to carry over some owned items. But otherwise, be prepared to start over from scratch when switching.
