Yes, You Can Become the Top Champion in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

As a longtime Pokémon player and content creator, defeating the Elite Four and seizing the Champion title in Scarlet and Violet has been my ultimate goal from the moment they were announced. After pouring over 100 hours into mastering Paldea over the past month, I‘m thrilled to confirm that this amazing accomplishment is absolutely possible for dedicated fans willing to put in the work! My epic journey push my skills to their peak taught me the keys to rising to the pinnacle of these incredible new Pokémon games. So for all you trainers who dream of hearing "Challenger Victor is the new Champion!" this guide will break down everything you need to know to make it happen!

The Road to The Elite Four and Champion Geeta

While the three core stories of Victory Road, Starfall Street and the Path of Legends let you freely tackle gyms, Team Star bases, and Titans in any order, I‘d highly recommend saving the Elite Four and Champion battle for last. Completing these storylines levels up and strengthens your team for the final gauntlet and also unlocks incredibly useful TMs for moveset optimization. Here was my strategic path:

Step 1) Build an Elite Team of 6 to Champion Level

Thanks to all the rewards you gain finishing the three story branches, I was able to raise my championship squad – Clodsire, Tinkatuff, Dondozo, Skeledirge, Drednaw and Noivern – to an average level of 77 before my first attempt, high enough that I could dynamax them multiple times if needed. This outpaced Geeta‘s team by 10 levels, giving me a key advantage. I used Effort Level candies from Tera Raids to maximize key stats as well!

Step 2) Optimize Movesets, Abilities, Natures and Items

Having versatile movesets with coverage options made a huge difference against the Elite Four‘s specialized teams. For example, breeding a Modest-nature Clodsire with its Hidden Ability and teaching it Icy Wind, Scald, Recover and Blizzard let it counter Ground, Dragon, Dark and even Grass types thanks to STAB damage from its Ice Terastallization. I also gave strategic item boosts – Clodsire held a Focus Sash for an extra turn of setup. See the table below for more of my optimal build details:

Step 3) Scout Reports on the Elite Four and Champion

Thanks to online databases documenting each elite trainer‘s potential roster, I built counter teams for every matchup, letting me quickly pivot my lead and strategy after seeing who I was up against. This gave me added confidence taking on these powerful opponents!

With this groundwork completed, it was time to brave the ultimate challenge!

Battling The Elite Four and Champion Geeta

Each member of the intimidating Elite Four poses a unique threat with their specialized teams – Larry and his cunning Dark squad that cripple you with Foul Play and knock offs; Rita‘s brutal Ground assault that whittle you down with Sandstorm and EQs; Turo‘s Dragon dance swept that can 6-0 the unprepared; and Sada and her infuriating Iron Defense/Body Press combo that tanks hits while dishing big Steel damage.

To counter such fearsome opponents, I had to approach every fight strategically, saving my Dynamaxes and Tera-type transformations for pivotal moments to swing momentum, while keeping backups ready for any surprises that broke my gameplan. Ultimately though, through shrewd type-matching and layered setups, I managed to topple all four Elite Four members consecutively to finally earn my destined showdown with Geeta!

The Battle With Champion Geeta

Going into my epic clash against the reigning champion Geeta, Paldea region climate data projected harsh sunlight, boosting Geeta‘s ace Flutter Mane and other fire types. To mitigate this forecast advantage, my gameplan focused on eliminating these sun-powered threats quickly. The match began intensely with both of us Dynamaxing our leads – Geeta with Sunny Day Charizard and myself with Rain Dance Drednaw. Winning this weather war let me weaken Charizard and force Geeta onto the backfoot. As she rotated her squad, I responded in kind, leveraging type advantages and terrain control to systematically defeat her well-rounded team, until just her Flutter Mane remained. Though it landed some heavy Moonblasts thanks to Serene Grace and the Sp. Attack boosts it set up, a clutch Dragon Dance from my Skeledirge let me outspeed and finish it with Outrage to complete my Championship coronation! My dream was finally fulfilled – see the climatic battle results below:
