Finally, the world of high stakes CEO life can be experienced without constantly battling griefers. This guide will break down everything you can now do in private sessions plus commentary on Rockstar‘s major shift towards less hostile grinding.

The Old Days: Public Lobbies Or Bust

GTA Online has always forced those looking to progress into public lobbies, mingling with strangers often keen to wreck your missions. As a skilled PVPer I didn‘t mind the challenge, but I couldn‘t blame casual crews forced to play games of lobby hopping roulette, praying for peaceful selling.

Pre-December 2021, the only real option was to grind programs like Sightseer in complete public solitude. VIP/CEO work and MC contracts worked there, but actual business battles? Strictly high stakes public affairs.

But with the Cayo Perico update, Rockstar introduced invite only lobbies where ALL setup and finale missions could be completed. While participants cannot play finales in invite only, hosts can fully setup and finalize heists without public lobbying. This enables safe prepping and 2-4 player finales launched from closed sessions.

This is an incredible change as heist pacing relied on randoms not sabotaging progress mid-mission. Now no more wasted time reforming or even worse – failing key preps!

Based on fan reception and testing, the only activities still restricted:

  • Auto Shop Contracts

But this represents 95%+ of playable content – now grief free.

The Verdict: Overwhelmingly Positive

I rate this upgrade a 9.5/10 as it respects those who enjoy challenge while enabling reliable business grinding, mission running, and heist pacing in private realms. The only missing pieces are a few activities like Tuners Contracts.

Here‘s hoping Rockstar continues listening to bring even one-off prep content invited only!

For core money makers, cements GTA Online as respecting solo hustlers. Allows crews and friends to share progression chase without constantly battling toxic elements.
