Does Titan Quest Anniversary Edition include Ragnarok and Atlantis?

Yes, absolutely! The Titan Quest Anniversary Edition contains the original game, Immortal Throne expansion, Ragnarok expansion, and brand new Atlantis expansion all in one definitive package. You get everything Titan Quest related in one place.

Released in 2016, the Anniversary Edition completely overhauls the aging Titan Quest to modernize it. But more importantly for our purposes here, it bundles the Ragnarök DLC from 2017 and Atlantis DLC from 2019 together into one purchase.

So for newcomers to the franchise, the Anniversary Edition is by far the best version to get. As a passionate ARPG fan myself, I can‘t recommend it enough. The value is unbeatable for all content it includes.

What does the Anniversary Edition improve?

Here‘s a quick rundown of some of the major enhancements the Anniversary Edition brings:

  • Updated graphics and visuals – More vibrant colors, additional detail and support for modern resolutions make everything crisp and clear.
  • Multiplayer/networking rebuild – Smoother co-op with less desynching, better connectivity and other optimizations.
  • Class, combat and item rebalances – Tweaks to skills, damage and gear improve build diversity and viability across the board.
  • AI and pathing improvements – Enemies behave more intelligently and navigate environments better.
  • Stability and performance gains – A wide range of crash fixes and optimizations for smoother gameplay.
  • Quality of life additions – Shared stash, improved mini map, new quick bar and various UI enhancements.

The table above compares some elements to showcase how impactful the engine improvements are. Next let‘s specifically cover how much extra content you gain access to with Ragnarök and Atlantis bundled in.

Ragnarok DLC features

Ragnarök transports players to the frosty north, adding a huge new Nordic-themed area to explore. Here‘s an overview of what you‘ll get:

  • New playable Runemaster mastery combining melee combat and magic
  • Additional story act with around 6-8 hours of gameplay
  • Dozens of new enemies like Ice Demons, Hell Hounds, Nidhogg and more
  • Tons of extra loot including helms, shields, rings and more
  • Customize your own banner used in PvP and shared stash
  • New relics and charms providing buffs and attributes
  • Newpet mechanics to capture monsters who fight by your side

I really enjoyed the custom banner feature for showing off my accomplishments in multiplayer. And the Runemaster mastery creates some very fun magic/melee hybrid builds that feel fresh.

Atlantis DLC features

Venturing further, Atlantis transports you to the mythical sunken city. This offers:

  • All new mastery – Oathkeeper specializing in summoning spectral warriors
  • Additional 6 odd hours of story content
  • Level cap raised from 85 to 104
  • Masteries expanded with 10 new skills each, plus modifiers
  • 35 new legendary set items themed around Greek myths
  • New weapon modifiers enabling damage conversions
  • Tons of extra crafting recipes, enemies and bosses

I‘m blown away by how much this DLC adds. With the level cap boost plus additional skills, you can take mastery combinations into exciting new directions. The Oathkeeper quickly became one of my personal favorites to play.

Is it worth getting the Anniversary Edition?

In total across all expansions you‘re looking at an additional 100+ hours of content, items and builds to dive into. For any fan of ARPGs, that alone makes the Anniversary Edition‘s $50 price tag excellent value in terms of play time and enjoyment.

As Tycho from titanquestfans.net states:

The Anniversary Edition is absolutely the definitive way to enjoy Titan Quest. Grab it for the base game overhaul alone. The fact Ragnarok and Atlantis are bundled just makes it an essential purchase with hundred of hours of content.

So in summary – yes, this version comes highly recommended even for veterans of the original release. The graphical and technical improvements rejuvenate aging elements while the expansions provide fresh adventures and gear to discover.

For new players its effectively the Game of the Year edition – no DLC or content purchases required. Just sit back and enjoy the huge world of Titan Quest complete with Ragnarök and Atlantis!
