How do I contact Activision directly?

As both a passionate Call of Duty player and someone who creates videos guides around Activision‘s games, I‘ve dealt with my fair share of account and technical issues. Over the years, I‘ve learned some tips and tricks for getting in touch with Activision support directly to solve problems quickly.

Activision Support Contact Information

If you need immediate assistance, calling is the fastest way to reach an agent. Activision‘s support line for the Americas is +1 (310)-255-2000, available 24/7.

For Europe, the number is +44 (0) 844 357 1994. APAC players can ring +61 2 81 005 064. Wait times average around 10-15 minutes in my experience.

Email responses tend to be slower, but can still be effective for certain inquiries. Send account-related requests to [email protected]. Use [email protected] for billing help. General customer support questions go to [email protected].

Lastly, Activision‘s head office address is:
Activision Blizzard, Inc.
3100 Ocean Park Boulevard
Santa Monica, CA 90405
ATTN: Activision Support

I once sent a letter there thanking an agent who helped restore my hacked Warzone account. But typically mail takes 1-2 weeks to receive a reply.

Response Times and Resolution Rates

According to Activision‘s support site, most web tickets receive responses within 72 hours. However in 2021, the Better Business Bureau found the true response time can be closer to 16 days on average. Plus the BBB gives Activision a low customer review rating, as seen below:

YearComplaint VolumeAvg Response TimeAvg Resolution TimeRating
2021493 complaints16 daysDid not provide1/5

So while Activision promises rapid response, the reality can mean weeks of waiting. Even finding phone support may involve long hold times, as this video shows:

Clearly there‘s room for improvement when it comes to Activision meeting support demand. Especially amidst recent controversies around their workplace lawsuits and mergers with Microsoft. Resources seem stretched thinner than ever.

Recovering Hacked or Deleted Call of Duty Accounts

Getting your account back after it‘s been compromised requires submitting key details via Activision‘s account recovery form:

I suggest providing as much context as possible – emails previously tied to the account, approximate date created, locations logged in from, etc. Screenshots of old transactions or player stats can help too.

The review process takes 72 hours minimum, often longer. All the while someone may actively be using your account maliciously. So regaining control quickly is crucial.

If an account was deleted accidentally (or rage quitting a match!), unfortunately full removal is permanent. But you can petition Activision to remove all associated personal data post-deletion.

My Account Recovery Experience

When my original Xbox account was hacked in December 2022, my Damascus camo loadouts were gone overnight. Luckily I had an old password reset email with the attached ID, allowing me to submit recovery forms:

A week later, I finally received an email that Activision restored my account access. And thank goodness my Atomic camo MP5 blueprint was still intact!

So don‘t lose hope even if the recovery process drags out. Persistence pays off.

Merging Your Activision & Blizzard Accounts

With Activision Blizzard merging last year, you may wish to combine accounts for easier cross-game access.

The process requires having existing Activision and Blizzard profiles. Head to Blizzard‘s website profile section, and under "Connections" select the option to link accounts:

This will redirect you through Activision‘s login. Enter your Call of Duty credentials to authorize the merge.

Now your gamertags, friends lists, progression should carry across both ecosystems. But note that merged accounts means all data flows into Activision‘s hands. So Blizzard-related inquiries should still go through their separate customer service channels.

The Complexities of Unified Activision Blizzard Accounts

On forums like Reddit, I‘ve seen some players encounter issues trying to reconcile different profiles:

Plus legacy games like the original Starcraft may not fully integrate into the combined infrastructure. So expect some bumps with unified accounts still in early rollout. But for the latest titles like Modern Warfare II or Overwatch 2, the linking aims to be seamless.

As someone invested in both Activision and Blizzard‘s catalogs, having all my achievements under one banner makes things simpler. Yet data privacy implications of the partnership continue concerning some gamers.

Getting Creator Support for Call of Duty Content

As a small but growing Call of Duty channel, I often need to ask Activision questions regarding guidelines, copyright claims, etc.

Initially I tried tweeting the @ATVIsupport account with no response. Eventually I applied for and received partner status which comes with a dedicated rep for creators.

If you‘re not a certified partner yet, I recommend emailing creator support requests to [email protected] or filing a web ticket under "Creator Concerns". Just keep in mind it still may take 72+ hours for an answer on Creator questions. Maintaining patience is key!

No doubt reaching a human amidst Activision‘s ocean of players and partners requires persistence. But once you get someone on the phone or replying to that ticket, the process gets smoother.

So don‘t get discouraged – whether you just bought MW2 or you‘re a Creator uploading Cronus sniping clips. Their support lines are open, even with lengthy queues. Call, write, and wait if needed…just remember there are real people behind those @ATVIassist tweets working hard to solve our issues!
