How do I transfer Fall Guys from Steam to Epic?
I‘ve got some bad news for my fellow bean battlers who purchased Fall Guys on Steam – there is no direct way to transfer progression or purchases from the Steam version of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout to the new free-to-play Epic Games version.
When Developer Mediatonic was acquired by Epic Games in 2021, Fall Guys was inevitably shifted over to the Epic Games Store exclusively as it transitioned to a free-to-play model in June 2022. While legacy Steam players can still access the game, no method exists to carry over unlocks.
But all is not lost! Here are a few tips that can help you carry over some Steam-earned rewards as well as embrace the bright side of the platform move:
Contact Fall Guys Support About Manually Moving Cosmetics
The Fall Guys customer support team has assisted some players with manually moving over certain paid DLC cosmetics from Steam to Epic accounts.
To submit a help request, you need to provide:
- Your Steam account email
- Proof of owning the Steam version
- Your Epic Games account username
- Names of the DLC packs purchased
According to Redditor reports, the team has transferred store-bought costume packs before, but currency like Crowns and Kudos are platform locked. Still, it‘s worth a shot!
Linking Accounts Unlocks the Legacy Pack
If you happened to link your Steam account to Epic prior to Fall Guys leaving Steam in June 2022, check your Epic account for the Legacy Pack unlock.
The Legacy Pack grants the Prickles costume set to Steam veterans as a nod to their support. To qualify, you needed to:
- Own Fall Guys on Steam before June 21, 2022
- Have linked your Steam account to Epic before June 21st
It‘s a small legacy reward, but at least shows Mediatonic values its longtime fans!
Free-For-All Draws In Over 50 Million New Players
While saying goodbye to unlocks is always tough, the silver lining is the massive influx of new beans!
According to Epic and Mediatonic‘s reports:
- Over 50 million players have joined since the June 2022 free-to-play shift
- At peak times, over 20 million beans are stumbling around courses daily
| Platform | All-Time Players |
|---|---|
| PlayStation | 124 million |
| Xbox | 51 million |
| Nintendo Switch | 25 million |
| PC | 55 million |
As a longtime fan myself, I‘m thrilled to see so many fresh faces flooding the lobbies. More beans mean more chaotic races to the crown!
Crossplay Opens Up Platform Possibilities
Along with the wider playerbase, crossplay functionality also arrived allowing PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch beans to squad up.
Over 67% of matches now contain beans across multiple platforms racing in harmony:

It‘s an exciting time to be tumbling around Hex-a-Gone regardless of your platform of choice!
While shifting to Epic unfortunately nixes direct Steam transfer options, focusing on troubleshooting workarounds, welcoming new beans, and embracing crossplay possibilities helps ease the loss. We may have lost our Steam skins, but we‘ve gained a crowd of new competitors!
