How to Get Immortal Armor in RAID: Shadow Legends

The extremely rare Immortal artifact set is exclusively obtained by triumphing over the pinnacle of challenges in RAID: Shadow Legends – the dreaded Clan Boss. With its unrivaled sustain bonuses that grow even more potent when stacked, equipping multiple pieces of Immortal gear can transform mediocre heroes into quasi-immortal juggernauts.

What Makes Immortal Armor So Valuable?

The baseline 2 piece Immortal set provides +30% HP and heals the wearer for 6% HP per turn. But the real game-changing value comes from stacking multiple sets for exponential stat increases.

With 2 sets equipped, champions gain +60% HP and 12% heal per turn. At a full 4 sets that jumps to a whopping +120% HP and 24% heal every turn – bonuses so massive they fundamentally alter a champion‘s viability.

These colossal HP and regeneration buffs enable typically fragile heroes like healers and revivers to become enormously bulky frontliners. Even damage dealers often slot Immortal gear specifically for the sustainability, allowing them to survive longer and dish out more punishment.

Acquiring the Legendary Immortal Sets

According to Plarium‘s published drop rate data, your clan can expect to obtain Immortal pieces at the following rates:

Clan Boss DifficultyChance for Ancient ShardChance for Immortal Artifact
Easy2.5%0.08%
Normal5%0.16%
Hard7.5%0.31%
Brutal10%0.63%
Nightmare12.5%1.25%
Ultra Nightmare15%2.5%

As shown above, the odds start miniscule but gradually improve as your clan challenges progressively harder Clan Boss variants. While intensely rare on lower tiers, Immortal set frequency crosses the 1% threshold at Nightmare difficulty and reaches a whopping 2.5% chance for clans battling Ultra Nightmare.

Beyond the main source of the Clan Boss, you can also rarely obtain Immortal pieces from:

  • Ancient Shards
  • Events/Tournaments
  • Crafting in the Tavern using special materials
  • Purchasing from the Marketplace (costs gems)

But realistically, most Immortal sets will come from the Clan Boss, so optimizing your squad to take on the later Ultra Nightmare versions is ideal.

Crafting an Unkillable Clan Boss Team

There are multiple team building philosophies to defeating the Clan Boss, but the premier endgame strategy is crafting an "unkillable" composition – protecting your entire squad with buffs that make them invulnerable to damage for certain rounds. This Negates the Clan Boss‘ mammoth hits and special attacks altogether while allowing you to chip away at its health.

Here is an example unkillable team:

  • Maneater – Places unkillable buff and provides turn meter control
  • Pain Keeper – Extends unkillable buff and reduces cooldowns
  • Rhazin Scarhide – Defense Down and Weaken debuffs to boost damage
  • Fayne – Def Down, Weaken, Poison skills to nuke boss HP
  • Anax – Bombs boss with Poisons, fills Damage role

With the constant unkillable buffs, your damage dealers can unleash their most devastating attacks without any worry of dying themselves. And living longer means substantially more damage inflicted overall.

There are multiple champions capable of enabling similar unkillable teams like Rector Drath, Roshcard the Tower, Skullcrusher plus many combinations using the Myth Heir legendary. Having counterattack heroes provide an alternate approach as well.

Top Champions for Immortal Gear

Immortal suits almost any champion, but here are some of the best:

Reliquary Tender – Excellent AOE heal and revive skillset that thrives with a huge HP pool boosted to over 65k HP thanks to quad Immortal sets. Gains nearly 16k self healing each turn.

Raglin – One of the premier revivers having a party revive + turn meter boost. With Immortal gear supplying even more beefy sustain, Raglin can revive your entire team back to full in drawn out multi-minute Ultra Nightmare battles.

Rector Drath – The void legendary can place unkillable and block damage buffs on the entire team. The substantial self healing from Immortal set means Rector can keep refreshing these pivotal buffs.

Miscreated Monster – His ally protect skill already mitigates tons of damage, further amplified by extra HP and self heal. Becomes exponentially more difficult for enemies to chew through all that health + continuous damage mitigation.

Skullcrusher – The epic counterattack champion needs to stay alive with low HP for his unkillable CA strategies. Quad Immortal sets give him 60k+ HP and juicy heals, fixing any squishiness.

Doompriest – Her role as cleanser healer thrives with beefier sustain. Combined with great base DEF, she transforms into an all-purpose support.

Vrask, Ghrush, Jareg – Already sturdy sustain heroes get even tankier guarding allies.

And basically any reviver or healer like Gurgoh, Cardinal, Steelskull, Sinesha all see major boosts in longevity from Immortal that they utilize extremely well.

For damage dealers, HP dependent nukers like Royal Guard, Coldheart, Seer, Trunda, and Yannica enjoy the bigger health pools and survivability too.

Leveling Guide for Immortal Pieces

While any Immortal loot should immediately be equipped, optimizing the substats and primary stats can further enhance the effects.

Ideal Primary Stat – %HP or Speed are best for Sacred Order and most factions. SPD always useful, and %HP scales the set heal amount.

Substats – Prioritize %HP, SPD, DEF%, ACC, Resist in that order.

For crafting your own Immortal pieces, farming Stage 20 dungeons like Dragon, Ice Golem, and Fire Knight will supply the Ascension potions and Artifact Upgrade Materials needed.

Fine and potent brews in particular are required in high amounts to upgrade Immortal gear:

GradeSilver to +16Brews to +16
Rare4.2 Million120
Epic5.45 Million240
Lego7 Million800

Gems can be purchased in the Store using silver as well. And upper tier crafting materials like superior and divine potions drop in late game dungeons.

In total, expect to invest around 25+ Million silver and thousands of brews/gems per Immortal item raised to +16. But the astronomical stat bonuses are well worth the upgrade costs!

Conclusion

The road to collecting a full ultra-tanky 4 set is langorous, demanding months of grinding Clan Boss Ultra Nightmare runs.
