Unlock the Ghost of Sparta Armor Set – A Badass God of War Crossover!

To get the Ghost of Sparta armor set in Ghost of Tsushima, you‘ll need to locate the Shrine of Ash on Iki Island‘s eastern coast and solve a riddle paying homage to God of War‘s Kratos and his son Atreus. Read on for everything you need to know about acquiring and maxing out this special piece of crossover gear.

The Epic God of War Team-Up Continues

As a passionate gamer who adores both the Ghost of Tsushima and God of War franchises, I was thrilled to discover the Ghost of Sparta armor set tucked away as secret treasure on Iki Island.

This mythic armor set is a direct callback to the Greek antihero Kratos from 2018‘s God of War reboot, where we saw the iconic Ghost of Sparta embark on a new Norse adventure alongside his son Atreus. And now in Ghost of Tsushima, we can fight the Mongol hordes while paying tribute to the duo on this side of mythology as well!

Sucker Punch Productions first teased this armor via a post last year, exciting gamers who spotted the Leviathan Axe and other God of War easter eggs contained within. Finding this armor for myself was a true delight for any fan.

Track Down the Shrine of Ash

To claim the Ghost of Sparta gear, you‘ll first need to set out for Iki Island, which is accessible if you own the Ghost of Tsushima: Director‘s Cut version of the game. Iki Island‘s southeastern peninsula contains an unassuming little area called Ash Landing.

It‘s here among the rocky cliffs that you‘ll discover the Shrine of Ash, marked by its stone dome exterior decorated with skulls. Light your guiding wind to have the foxes lead the way if needed.

Solve the Riddle of the Ghost of Sparta

Upon entering the shrine, you‘ll see a parchment displayed with the following riddle:

Let the man who walks the path of vengeance

Consider the boy who judges the journey

As the hint tells you, the "man" described is clearly referencing Kratos, the vengeful Spartan warrior and protagonist of God of War. Meanwhile, "boy" alludes to Atreus, his son and companion.

Type "BOY" into the door to unlock it and reveal a Radiant White Dye Merchant sitting alongside the Ghost of Sparta armor set itself. Claim your prize!

Norse God Meets Samurai Warrior

So what makes the Ghost of Sparta armor set so desirable? For starters, its perks grant excellent boosts to your stagger damage and resolve gains, allowing you to quickly build up your resolve meter for deadlier special attacks.

It also features the classic Spartan skirt and pteruges style to mirror Kratos‘ iconic God of War look.

Ghost of Tsushima - Ghost of Sparta Armor

Mixing this foreign armor aesthetic with Jin Sakai‘s samurai tools results in an awesome East-meets-West blend. Darting around Tsushima with hook and chain while draped in Greek battledress never gets old!

The Sucker Punch developers clearly had a lot of fun crafting this unique armor crossover, no doubt taking inspiration from their love of Santa Monica Studio‘s God of War entry.

Conquer Tsushima – For Sparta and Son!

As both a lover of Ghost of Tsushima‘s epic samurai adventure and God of War‘s journey across mythic realms, acquiring the Ghost of Sparta armor felt like a true achievement. It represents the ultimate crossover prize for fans of both games!

I highly recommend all players with access to Iki Island track down the Shrine of Ash and claim this armor to take on the Mongol horde while honoring Kratos‘ own legendary feats.

Why be the Ghost when you can become the God instead?

Let the journey begin! For Tsushima and Sparta alike!!
