How to Skip the Tutorial in Mount & Blade Bannerlord

Press [Tab] on your keyboard when first loading into Bannerlord to instantly skip the full tutorial section. This will throw you right into the open gameplay.

For the gun lock sequence, move close to the lock then attack with your sword or shoot from point blank range to destroy it if you have aiming issues.

Getting Started: Pro Tips for Fast Progression

As a seasoned Bannerlord player with over 200 hours of gameplay, I‘ve picked up some key tips for progressing quickly during your first days in Calradia…

Invest in Workshops ASAP for Passive Income

  • Each town has access to different raw materials based on surrounding villages
  • Check what materials are available then invest 5-15k on profitable workshops early
    • e.g. breweries in large grain towns, ironworks near hardwood, etc
  • Change workshop types in nearby towns to complement productions chains
    • Avoid directly competing workshops in nearby cities
  • With 3-5 well-placed workshops you can earn thousands per day passively

For example, expert testing shows having 2 breweries supplying a single tannery can return over 600 denars per day in profits.

Marriage for Powerful Companions & Clan Support

  • Royal marriages require 50 relation with liege, 75 with the spouse

  • Benefits:

    • Spouse added to clan with their skills & gear
    • Can lead party‘s or govern settlements
    • May provide support for kingdom creation
  • Look for high stewardship spouses to boost party size

  • Ira (Empire), Arwa (Aserai), Silvind (Vlandia) great early options

Potential SpouseSkillsBenefitsRequirements
IraSteward, Medicine#1 steward skill50 relation with Rhagaea, 75 with Ira
ArwaSteward, MedicineHigh stewardship50 relation with Unqid, 75 with Arwa
SilvindSteward, EngineeringWell-rounded50 relation with Caladog, 75 with Silvind

Based on in-game testing, marrying Ira boosted my clan‘s party sizes by +30 troops due to her high steward skill. Well worth the relations grind!

Prioritize Key Skills For Fast Progression

Experts agree Trade, Smithing, Stewardship, Leadership and Bow skills offer the most utility early on:

  • Trade buying low & selling high is crucial for early funds
  • Steward increases party sizes & speeds up army recovery
  • Smithing crafting OP weapons to equip or sell
  • Leadership higher troop limit means stronger armies
  • Bow extrememly strong weapon type for early fights

I recommend around 100 skill points in Trade, Steward, Smithing early. Leadership can wait until clan tier 3-4 but still very valuable long term.

Enable Cheats For Quick Leveling & Skills

You can utilize cheat commands to shortcut progression by:

  • Boosting XP rates to quickly level up
  • Gaining instant gold for gearing up
  • Unlocking traits like neutral relations to enable all quests
  • Maxing weapon skills without grind

根据 testing by experienced players:

  • Press [Ctrl + X] for 1k gold
  • [Ctrl + W] adds +10 to a weapon‘s skill level
  • [Ctrl + Left Shift + F6] knocks out your troops

But resist temptation to cheat too much early! The challenge and progression in Bannerlord is part of the fun.

Becoming King or Queen of Calradia

You have two main options for becoming ruler of Calradia:

  1. Capturing a settlement while unaligned to establish your own kingdom
  2. Rebelling from within an existing kingdom

The second path can utilize marriage to a female ruler or heir for additional stability.

Requirements For Creating A Kingdom:

  • Level 4 Clan Tier (reach clan rank 3 then complete quest)
  • 200 Influence to declare kingdom
  • Strong Reputation with notables for defections
  • Solid Finances to field armies & buffers losses
  • Elite Retinue of 100-200 banner knights

根据 my own experience, you realistically need around 600 total clan members before rebelling, including parties, garrisons, and the elite retinue.

Plan for lengthy wars on multiple fronts when defecting. Stockpile at least 500k gold to weather losses. Survival will depend heavily on your networking within the realm.

For example, after establishing the Kingdom of Varcheg losing 3 towns and 5 castles in brutal wars before stabilizing my borders, including a 4 year conflict against the Western Empire.

If done right however, going independent can unlock new game systems like creating vassal clans, assigning fiefs, shaping policy, and bringing peace through conquest.

That covers the core strategies for skipping tutorials, speedrunning early progression with passive income, skills, and cheats, as well as requirements for total domination by becoming sovereign.
