How much is 10 wishes in Genshin?

As a passionate Genshin Impact gamer and content creator, I‘m often asked – just how many primogems does it take to make 10 wishes? Well, let‘s take an in-depth look…

Wish Cost Breakdowns

Each wish in Genshin costs 160 primogems. So if you save up 1600 primogems, you‘ll have enough for 10 wishes in one go!

Here‘s a quick primogem-to-wish conversion reference:

1 Wish160 Primogems
10 Wishes1600 Primogems

Now you might be wondering – is it better to do single wishes one by one or save up for that sweet 10 wish batch?

Well according to my Genshin rituals, 10 wishes guarantees at least one 4-star or higher item. So while RNGesus giveth and taketh away, you‘ve got slightly better 4-star chances when wishing in 10s.

Pity Systems – Your Safety Nets

Beyond the 10 wish 4-star guarantee, Genshin also has pity systems to ensure you get 5-star characters/weapons within a certain number of wishes:

  • Soft Pity: Increased 5-star rate at ~75 wishes
  • Hard Pity: 100% 5-star drop at 90 wishes

Based on my wish data across reroll accounts, most 5-stars drop between 70-80 wishes. But you‘re guaranteed the prized 5-star by 90 wishes the latest!

Soft Pity Range75 – 89 Wishes
Hard Pity90 Wishes

So including fate points and some sweet soft pity luck, you can expect a 5-star within 14,400 – 16,000 primogems or so.

Primogem Income For F2P Gamers

As a mainly f2p player, how many primogems can I farm up as a content creator? Well…

  • Daily commissions: 60 primos x 30 days = 1,800
  • Events: 2,500 – 4,000+ primos
  • Streams + promocodes: 300 – 1,600 primos
  • Exploration: 2,000+ primos

That‘s 6,000 – 10,000+ primos, or 38 – 63 wishes monthly! Not bad just as f2p, more than enough to build up pity over a few banner periods.

For my YouTube channel with account sponsors, I get an extra chunk of change to convert into fates. So far I average around 18,000 primogems (=113 wishes) per banner cycle!

Crystal Top Up Packages

Now let‘s say you wanted to straight up swipe for fates – how much moolah is that?

Well the max Genesis crystals you can purchase is 6,480 crystals for $100 USD. Converting to primogems, that equals 40.5 wishes upfront. Not quite enough for a 90 wish hard pity though!

Here‘s how the rest of the crystal top up bundles convert to fates:

Genesis CrystalsPrimogemsWishesUSD Price
6806804$10
1,9801,98012$30
3,2803,28020$50
6,4806,48040.5$100

So in summary, 10 wishes in Genshin Impact costs 1,600 primogems. Manage your pity counters, use primogem sources wisely as f2p, and calculate those crystal top-up bundles before swiping!
