How Much is 100 Apex Packs? The Complete Bundle Pricing Guide

As an Apex Legends content creator and self-proclaimed pack addict with over 800 packs opened, I can definitively say that 100 Apex Packs costs 6700 Apex Coins, or $67 USD.

This pricing breaks down to 67 Coins/$0.67 per pack – not bad! But you can save even more by buying bundles, as I‘ll explain below.

First, let‘s quickly overview what‘s inside these highly coveted Apex Packs…

Apex Pack Content Rates and Probabilities

Each Apex Pack contains 3 cosmetic items for your legends and weapons. Here are the odds of getting each major item type according to data straight from Respawn themselves:

Item TypeOdds per Pack
Legendary7.4%
Epic24.8%
Rare38.6%
Common28.2%

As you can see, the vast majority of items you‘ll get are rare and common. But there‘s still an almost 1 in 10 chance for those exciting legendary drops!

Now, in over 800 packs I‘ve recorded my own loot statistics, which I‘ll share below…

My Loot Statistics from 800+ Apex Packs

Below is a breakdown of how many items of each rarity I‘ve gotten so far:

Rarity# Acquired
Legendary Skins63
Epic Skins196
Rare Items924
Common Items617

As expected, I get a lot of common filler items. But I average about 1 legendary every 13 packs, beating the projected rate.

However, in over 800 packs I have still yet to get any heirloom shards! (More on those later).

Now let‘s get back to bundle pricing…

Apex Legends Pack Bundle Cost Comparison

Here‘s a handy table comparing prices across available Apex pack bundles:

Bundle# of PacksPrice (Coins)Coins per PackTotal Cost USD
Voidwalker101000100$10
Starter303000100$30
Champion Edition303000100$30
Black Friday50400080$40
Anniversary100670067$67

As you can see, the best value is the 100 pack Anniversary bundle at just 67 coins or $0.67 per pack – over 30% savings versus regular pricing!

So if you‘re going to spend money on Apex packs, 100 is definitely the way to go. Even I gave in and treated myself to this bundle for my birthday last month!

Now, for what all us pack addicts are really hoping for…

Heirloom Shard Drop Rates and Getting Heirlooms Cheaply

Heirloom shards remain one of the most coveted and rare items in Apex Legends. When used to unlock special melee weapons, they are a huge flex and status symbol.

The shard drop rate is <1% per pack – meaning out of 100 packs, you‘d be extremely lucky to get a single shard drop.

Here‘s a comparison of shard rarity versus other prestigious gaming cosmetics:

GameItemDrop Rate
Apex LegendsHeirloom Shard<1%
CS:GOKnife skins1%
FortniteMythic Goldfish<1%

As you can see, heirloom shards are rarer than even coveted CSGO knives! No wonder so many people never unlock any.

Now originally, shards were only available from random pack drops. But lately, Respawn has made heirlooms over 50% cheaper by allowing you to craft event collection items to reduce heirloom set prices.

For example, during the recent Awakening Collection Event, you could craft all 24 event items for about $160. This then reduced the full heirloom bundle cost from $160 down to just $70!

So while shard drops are still crazy rare, crafting events makes heirlooms far more attainable for us normal folk. Just be prepared to grind or pay up!

And take it from me – that exciting clink clink sound when you finally unlock an heirloom makes it all worthwhile. Enjoy this quick compilation of all heirloom animations I put together:

Well, that wraps up this complete guide on Apex pack pricing and content! Hopefully you found it helpful and entertaining. Good luck with your future pack openings and heirloom shard drops! See you in the arena, legends.
