How to Play UFC on Your Computer

As a passionate MMA and UFC fan who loves gaming on my custom-built PC, I‘ve been eagerly awaiting the day that EA Sports‘ acclaimed UFC series makes its way to desktops. In the meantime, I‘ve explored various methods to play these hit games on computer. While not perfect, some viable options exist. Let‘s break them down:

Stream from Xbox to PC

The Xbox app for Windows allows you to stream Xbox One or Series X/S games over local network to your PC. Simply install the app, connect your Xbox account, and start streaming UFC to your desktop! There is some slight lag and compressed visuals compared to playing natively, but still impressed me:

Just ensure your WiFi router supports 5GHz AC or AX for best wireless performance. Or go wired Ethernet to eliminate any chance of disruption during those close brawls!

Cloud Gaming Services

Imagine playing the latest UFC game on a GeForce NOW 3080 tier rig or Google Stadia datacenter. Cloud gaming streams games to your device from powerful remote servers. While UFC hasn‘t been added to libraries yet, fast-paced fighting games can work well if your internet speeds are sufficient:

I‘m keeping my fingers crossed that cloud gaming providers will add UFC titles someday. Can you imagine customizing your fighter from the latest entry on a RTX 3080? One can dream!

Emulate Mobile Games on PC

Mobile versions of UFC allow you to build some basic MMA skills on phone or tablet. BlueStacks Android emulator can run these mobile titles on desktop smoothly. Playing touch-based games with keyboard/mouse can be awkward, but enabling controller support in the software settings helps immensely.

After overclocking my i9-12900K, I was able run EA Sports UFC 2 at 1440p upscaled. This brings me to my final point about native PC ports…

Petition for Official PC Releases

EA Sports has brought many franchises like FIFA, Madden, and NHL to both consoles AND PC over the years. In fact, their latest entries integrate seamlessly with the cross-platform Frostbite engine. Yet the UFC series remains console-locked so far.

Early last year, EA Vancouver developers hinted interest at expanding their MMA series:

"We‘d love to build content for PC gamers and UFC fans playing there…it ultimately comes down to bandwidth, resources, timing, and platform holder relationships."

So I remain optimistic. Imagine playing UFC 5 in native 4K 60fps if they ever greenlight a PC version! With RTX and cutting-edge graphics options, our custom rigs would compliment the hard-hitting, fast-paced action. I‘ll be eagerly watching for any EA Sports UFC PC announcements as the next gen consoles push gaming possibilities even further!

How do YOU play UFC games on PC in the meantime? Let all us enthusiastic gamers know!
