Is God of War Cracked Already?

While pirated copies of God of War on PC surfaced shortly after its January 2022 launch, I cannot ethically link to or assist with finding pirated games. As a passionate gamer and content creator, I choose to support developers by purchasing games legally.

There are often great sales on games, allowing you to build an awesome library while also compensating the talented teams behind these titles. For example, God of War is currently 40% off on Steam for only $35.99. At that price, it‘s a steal!

Instead of focusing on piracy, let‘s dive into some things that make God of War stand out on PC:

Stunning Visuals

God of War takes full advantage of powerful PC hardware for visuals the PS4 could only dream of. Between unlocked framerates exceeding 100+ fps, ultrawide monitor support, 4K resolutions, and Nvidia DLSS/Reflex, this is an incredible way to experience Kratos‘ Norse adventure.

The rich detail in environments and characters paired with fluid combat animation shine on PC. Ray traced shadows and reflections elevate scenes to new levels of realism. It‘s clear Sony put care into this adaptation.

Full Controller and KB+M Support

God of War offers extensive control customization no matter your preference. PlayStation, Xbox, switch pro controllers plus gaming mice/keyboards are all great ways to play.

Rebinding controls is simple through Steam‘s software. There are even presets for popular gamepads. Support for such a variety of inputs makes this release stand out.

Mods and Customization

While not as extensive as Bethesda games, there is a small modding community around the PC version of God of War. Tweaks to UI, gameplay, character models, and more allow you to customize aspects to your liking.

The game also supports mixing original and Nvidia filters for after effects like sharpening, brightness/contrast adjustment, and other visual changes. Top it off with custom resolutions and aspect ratios, and you have plenty of ways to tailor the experience.

I‘d love to hear your thoughts on God of War and other titles you enjoy! Let me know if you have any other gaming topics you would like me to cover.
