Malenia Lore Significance
From a lore perspective, Malenia holds special meaning as the daughter of Queen Marika and Radagon. She was scarred from birth with Scarlet Rot, supposedly destined to one day "become a true goddess" according to her Scarlet Aeonia weapon description.
Her desperate battle with General Radahn that ended in bitter stalemate is the stuff of legend in the Lands Between. So striking down this tragic, infected swordswoman yourself carries fitting weight and glory.
I‘m still unpacking the mystery behind returning the gold needle and obtaining Miquella‘s Needle. But clearly this item will prove useful in determining Elden Ring‘s ending based on my experience with these games.
