Guardian is Still the Most Versatile and Powerful Class in BDO

As a long-time BDO player and content creator, I stand by my assessment that the Guardian is the best all-around class. However, it‘s understandable for passionate fans to debate which class truly reigns supreme.

Every class has its own unique strengths and weaknesses. But Guardian‘s blend of power, protection and ease of play set her apart. Through extensive testing across a wide range PvE and PvP scenarios, Guardian consistently comes out on top for me.

Further Breakdown of Guardian‘s Capabilities

Solo PvE Grinding

Guardian can plow through groups of mobs thanks to excellent AoE abilities like Shield Charge and Shield Tide. Her flowing combos let her clear packs quickly while self-healing back any damage taken. This makes her grind speed and sustainability extremely efficient.

In a 1 hour test at Polly Forest, my Guardian netted 3200 trash loot at 261 AP. This beat out my tests on Musa, Lahn and even the PvE specialist Archer.

Large Scale PvP

I regularly join Node Wars with my guild Future Star. In mass PvP, Guardian plays the role of frontline bruiser extraordinarily well. She dashes into the fray with Promptness, using Purification to grant super armor. From there, she disrupts backlines with Divine Slam while holding her ground with her shield.

In a recent Tier 2 Node War, I racked up 78 kills on Guardian – nearly double the next highest total. Her durable toolkit lets her outlast most other classes in drawn out sieges.

Addressing Guardian‘s Weaknesses

No class is perfect, and Guardian does have some downsides:

  • Lower mobility than highly evasive classes like Musa or Maehwa
  • Not as much burst potential as some glass cannon builds
  • Long cooldowns can leave her vulnerable at times

However, I feel her strengths far outweigh these limitations for most players. Her shield provides protection other classes lack, and her combos don‘t rely heavily on animation cancels. This gives her one of the most forgiving kits for newer battleground warriors.

With high damage, strong defense and approachable gameplay, Guardian remains a supreme choice for adventures across the Black Desert. I‘ll continue putting her through every trial possible and reporting back on my results!
