The Terradyne Gurkha LAPV is Undisputedly the Biggest Car Across All Forza Games

I‘ve test-driven over 600 cars in Forza‘s vast garage, but none come close to the sheer size of the Terradyne Gurkha LAPV. This military-grade beast shaped like a tank is undoubtedly Forza‘s biggest drivable car.

Key Terradyne Gurkha LAPV Specs and Dimensions:

SpecMeasurement
WeightOver 4 tons
Width2.2 meters wide
Length5.4 meters long
Height2.3 meters tall

To put into perspective how massive the Terradyne is:

  • It weighs nearly 3X a Ford F-150 Raptor (4 tons vs 1.4 tons)
  • It stands over 1.5X as tall as a Lamborghini Aventador (2.3 m vs 1.4 m)

The Terradyne absolutely dwarfs even other oversized vehicles in Forza. This raw size directly impacts speed and handling – but that‘s a key part of this vehicle‘s appeal.

Origins as an Armored Patrol Vehicle

As an armored patrol vehicle (LAPV), the real-life Gurkha LAPV was designed to withstand ballistic arms fire and mine blasts thanks to its monocoque v-hull chassis. This robust construction and upgraded suspension lends itself well to adaptation within Forza‘s rugged racing landscapes.

The modular design means the Terradyne can be equipped to serve as a transport truck, ambulance, surveillance center, or communications hub. We‘re thankful the Forza model opts for the stock 4×4 drivetrain over the 6×6 option!

Beastly Size Comes at the Cost of Speed

In my experience testing the Terradyne Gurkha across several races, its performance capabilities definitely take a backseat to raw size and power.

With a stock 0-60 mph time of 10.5 seconds and middling handling rating of 5.5, tight cornering and acceleration are certainly not this vehicle‘s strong suits. Applying upgrades and tuning can help offset these deficiencies, but only to a certain extent.

However, what the Terradyne lacks in straight-line speed or nimble curves, it more than makes up for in beastly force. The rugged construction allows you to trade paint and grind rails with far less consequence than lower riding supercars.

The Terradyne Gurkha LAPV absolutely towers over other vehicles

And when barrelling down long straightaways or plowing through rocky terrain, the Terradyne starts to hit its stride. You feel nearly unstoppable driving this tank at full speed!

Built for the Goliath

Speaking of long straightaways – the Terradyne Gurkha LAPV is practically custom-built for the Goliath race. This 55 km route wraps around the entire map of Mexico, subjecting drivers to diverse terrain.

The Goliath is billed as Forza Horizon 5‘s "Ultimate Showcase Event" and I can see why. Successfully completing the 10+ minute circuit tests the limits of both driver and vehicle.

And while supercars like the Koenigsegg Jesko or Bugatti Chiron are perfectly suited for sections of the course, their low clearances and slippery handling make them vulnerable.

This is where the Terradyne‘s ruggedness shines through. Reddit threads documenting Goliath attempts bear this out – the Terradyne maintains top popularity for its stability and resilience to withstand all conditions.

In fact, some of the fastest Goliath completion times employ the Terradyne or similar heavy-duty trucks. Their size certainly prevents record lap times, but solid consistency over that distance can‘t be understated.

Future Expansions Could Introduce an Even Larger Vehicle

Looking ahead, is it possible we could see an even bigger drivable vehicle than the Terradyne added in a future Forza expansion? I certainly wouldn‘t rule it out!

The team at Playground Games has been creative at pushing boundaries thus far – from Hot Wheels stunt tracks to the epic amounts of mud in Tierra Prospera. Expanding the boundaries yet again to accommodate an even more massive monster truck or military transport would fit right in line.

Some candidates I‘d love to get behind the wheel of in a future expansion:

VehicleDimensions
Mercedes Zetros 6×67 meters long
Sinotruk Howo 8×8Over 4 meters tall
Paramount MarauderUp to 100 tons

So while the Terradyne wears the biggest car crown for now, it may one day meet its match!

Conclusion

After extensive research across forums and closely analyzing in-game specs, there is no question the Terradyne Gurkha LAPV stands unmatched as the biggest drivable vehicle across the entire Forza franchise.

Its military engineering lends itself perfectly to off-road enduring while the sheer size and force is an absolute blast to experience. Despite middling speed, you feel an incredible sense of power behind the wheel that more than makes up for it!
