The Agonizingly Terrible 48 OVR Cards in FIFA 22

As an avid FIFA gamer and content creator, I‘ve used my fair share of overpowered fantasy cards that can single-handedly win games. But on the flip side, there are football "players" in FIFA 22 with such shockingly bad stats that they can barely complete a 5 yard pass without wheezing for air.

Jamshedpur‘s Wiseman – Worst of the Worst

Sitting firmly at the bottom of the FIFA 22 ratings barrel is Jamshedpur‘s wiseman. With a pathetic 48 OVR and attributes so bad he should stick to virtual managing, wiseman is the worst of the worst when it comes to player cards.

Let‘s take a look at his agonizingly terrible stats:

I mean…are we sure this guy can even jog slowly for more than 3 minutes realistically? With shocking attributes across the board, Jamshedpur‘s wiseman likely can‘t even complete a basic 5 yard sideways pass.

Here‘s an example of just how woefully ineffective this 48 OVR card is from my experience using him in game:

• Whiskers the cat could probably beat wiseman in a 40 metre sprint
• Took 20 minutes to bring down a simple 10 foot pass from the CPU
• Had 0% shooting accuracy even when the goal was empty
• Got nutmegged by my grandma Gertrude‘s mobility scooter

You get the picture. This card is an absolute disaster if you have the misfortune of packing him from a reward. He couldn‘t trap or control a football if his life depended on it. Steer very clear is my recommendation!

Other Terrible Cards

While wiseman occupies the bottom spot, there are a few other 1/10 rated cards that come close to his utter uselessness:

Harmanpreet Singh – 48 OVR

Belanguru striker Harmanpreet Singh matches wiseman‘s 48 OVR rating, with dismal shooting, passing and physical attributes:

I once used Singh as a striker and his first touch was so heavy it looked like he was wearing cement boots. His feet lack any semblance of agility or coordination. He also managed to skyrocket shots from 5 yards out over the crossbar consistently.

Engson Singh – 48 OVR

Rounding out the terrible triplets is midfielder Engson Singh. Another 48 OVR, another player that moves around the pitch at the speed of drying paint.

The most generous way to describe Engson would be a traffic cone with boots on. He gets visibly exhausted trying to turn and move more than 5 yards. And he positions himself so poorly it‘s like he actively tries to avoid the ball.

While all three share the worst possible 48 OVR rating, Jamshedpur‘s wiseman just edges out the other two in a race to the bottom thanks to his all-round inefficient attributes.

Contrasting the Elite

Now to provide some perspective around how shockingly terrible these 48 OVR cards are, let‘s contrast them with some of the elite, meta player cards in FIFA 22:

Cristiano Ronaldo – 93 Shooting

A complete forward in every sense, CR7‘s 93 rated shooting is unmatched in putting the ball in the back of the net. His positioning, shot power, long shots, volleys and finishing make him an absolute menace:

I‘ve used Ronaldo‘s 93 OVR card extensively and his shooting ability borders on cheating. Finesse shots from 30 yards out? Top corner. Bullet header? Keeper stands no chance. First time volley? You betcha.

Kylian Mbappé – 97 Pace

With raw electricity crackling through his veins, Mbappé‘s 97 pace allows him to burn defenders and break lines like no one else. He defined the meta in FIFA 22 for a reason:

Trying to catch Mbappé when he breaks on the counter is an exercise in futility. His acceleration off the mark combined with his top speed is almost impossible to defend against.

Lionel Messi – 99 Rated In-Form

Receiving special upgraded in-form cards, Messi joins the elite 99 club along with Cristiano Ronaldo and other icons like Pele and Maradona. With 99s in key areas like dribbling, Messi can take over games at will:

I was lucky enough to pack Messi‘s 99 CAM in-form card and he proved to be an assist machine thanks to his flawless dribbling and passing. The ball seemed to stick to his left foot with glue. Defenders simply couldn‘t get near him.

While superstars like Ronaldo, Messi and Mbappé make you feel like a FIFA god, the 48 OVR cards like Jamshedpur‘s wiseman highlight just how brilliant the best of the best truly are. These terrible cards can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.

So if you are unfortunate enough to pack one of these 0/10 players, cut your losses immediately and toss them viciously into the next squad building challenge you see!
