Broodmother Lysrix is the Easiest Boss in ARK: Survival Evolved
As a hardcore ARK player with over 2,000 hours invested across multiple servers, I can definitively say the Broodmother Lysrix is the easiest of the boss fights. With my extensive experience battling through all the Island bosses from Gamma to Alpha difficulty, I‘ll breakdown what makes Broodmother such a pushover compared to the others.
Stats and Health Pool
First, let‘s analyze the base stats of the Broodmother versus the other Island bosses (Dragon, Megapithecus, and Overseer):

As you can see, Broodmother has vastly lower HP than the other Island bosses, especially at higher difficulties. The alpha Dragon has 2.5 million HP in comparison! This makes Broodmother‘s health pool much quicker and easier to tear down.
Vulnerability to Ranged Attacks
Additionally, Broodmother‘s attacks and mechanics make her exceptionally vulnerable to ranged damage from players on mounts.Unlike the Dragon that flies or the Monkeys that jump around, Broodmother is stuck on the ground and has limited range on her acid spit.
By using Procoptodons with riders wielding shotguns or ascendant pump action shotguns, you can kite the Broodmother while peppering her from safety. Thousands of easy damage that she can do little about!
You can‘t use this strategy as effectively on bosses like the Dragon or Megapithecus that actively pursue and attack the riders.
Megatheriums Melt Her Health
Finally, no other boss has as obvious a tame choice counter as the Broodmother does with Megatheriums. These giant ground sloths get a 5x damage multiplier against insects in ARK, which Broodmother just happens to be!
A bred and imprinted army of 7-10 high level Megatheriums with good saddles can absolutely shred through Broodmother‘s health bar, even on Alpha difficulty. Most bosses don‘t have a specialty tame that exploits their creature type for insane bonus damage.
Between kiting with shotguns and overwhelming with Megatheriums, defeating Broodmother becomes trivial compared to the brutal challenge of facing down the plasma-blasting Dragon or health regen-ing Overseer. It may still require good prep, but for experienced ARK survivors Broodmother simply doesn‘t pose a threat.
