As an avid gamer who has followed Dante‘s journey since the original Devil May Cry, I can say with confidence that only cosmic beings with reality-altering abilities can hope to defeat him. Dante‘s half-demon heritage grants him superhuman physicality and a relentlessly growing well of strength. After decades battling and absorbing abilities from the strongest devils around, Dante has achieved power rivaling deities.

But omnipotent gods and magical characters that can manipulate reality itself still pose a threat. Let‘s analyze the elite group that could potentially defeat gaming‘s biggest badass.

Lord Beerus – A God of Destruction Beyond Dante‘s Paygrade

Lord Beerus, the feline God of Destruction from Dragon Ball Super, can wipe out galaxies and even abstract concepts from existence. According to official power-scaling guides, his energy output reaches universal levels.

Comparatively, Dante‘s greatest feats include enduring blows from the Savior which generated gigatons of force in Devil May Cry 4. While immensely powerful in the gaming multiverse, destroying universes is beyond even the Legendary Dark Knight.

Versus Battle experts again rate Rimuru as eventually reaching multiversal levels of destruction. So the Demon Lord slime has to be my top pick to take down Dante when considering growth potential. Seriously, Dante would need to bust out his Sin Devil form immediately to stand any chance!
