Who is the Strongest Demigod in Elden Ring?

While lore and reputation clearly paint General Radahn as Elden Ring‘s mightiest demigod warrior during his prime, his fall to Scarlet Rot has shaken that title. However, no other contender has clearly surpassed his legend…yet.

Radahn‘s Masterful Gravitational Magic

Radahn studied gravitational sorcery under an Alabaster Lord in Sellia. With this magic, Radahn could control gravity itself – floating in the air even while riding his beloved horse Leonard. He masterfully incorporated this into his combat style:

  • Hurling gravity bolts to crush or launch enemies
  • Increasing/decreasing gravity around foes to immobilize them
  • Riding Leonard as a mobile attack platform raining arrows and sorcery

Most impressively, Radahn‘s magic allowed him to hold back the stars. He prevented additional meteor strikes on the Lands Between out of protection for his beloved horse. Even disabled later on, this protective magic lingered – no stars have fallen since.

The Cataclysmic Battle of Aeonia

When Malenia, Blade of Miquella marched on Caelid, none could stand before her – including the legendary Starscourge himself. For the first time, Radahn met his match:

Their battle shaped the geography of Caelid itself. Malenia unleashed the Aeonian Flower upon Radahn, infecting him with Scarlet Rot while falling into a deep slumber herself. Radahn, warped by rot, stays standing even as his mind degrades – still guarding Caelid.

Many consider this an eventual victory for Malenia. Facing one of the mightiest demigods and unleashing such devastating power took incredible strength.

Analyzing Other Contenders

With Radahn disabled, hungry eyes look to claim the mantle of "Elden Ring‘s mightiest." Key contenders include:

Malenia – Survived her ordeal with Radahn and wants vengeance against her betrayer Morgott. If she can blossom again, her Rot may consume all.

Ranni the Witch – Mysteriously absent since her murder of the Demigod Godwyn. However, her intricate questline hints at the immense power she still wields.

Miquella/Mohg – Miquella‘s unnatural youth belies an unknown power. Mohg seeks to ascend this buried "god" and shake the very cosmology of the world.

Each conceals shocking capabilities yet to fully emerge. My early Runes are on Malenia or Ranni claiming that vaunted title eventually!

Reacting to These Legends

As a Tarnished battling his way through the game, coming face-to-face with these demigods gets my heart racing every time that health bar pops up. Radahn‘s initial appearance stopped me in my tracks – a towering four-armed monstrosity dwarfing even nearby giants! Mohg‘s phase transition cutscene made my jaw drop when his true monstrous form emerged.

And Ranni…her questline remains fascinating while teasing her connections to cosmic forces beyond the Greater Will itself. With legacy characters like her, Mohg, and especially the resurgent Malenia, Radahn‘s fearsome legend may fall sooner rather than later!
