Who Won Dream Island in BFDI?

Firey was the winner of the first season Battle for Dream Island (BFDI) competition in 2010, claiming ownership of the show‘s central Dream Island location. After a hard-fought season of challenges between anthropomorphic objects, Firey defeated rival contestant Bubble in the viewer-voted finale to earn the ultimate prize.

A Quick Recap of BFDI

For those unfamiliar, BFDI is a long-running animated web series created by Michael and Cary Huang of jacknjellify. The show centers around an elimination-style competition between sentient objects, battling to win Dream Island – described as a "square mile of paradise" with lavish amenities.

Debuting in 2010, the first BFDI season spanned 19 episodes and over 4 million cumulative views to date. It introduced beloved characters like Leafy, Pin, Pencil, Match, Pen, Eraser and more, competing in zany team challenges toward the elusive grand prize.

Firey Claims Victory in BFDI Season 1 Finale

In the season finale, Firey and Bubble emerged as the final two contestants through a series of voting elimination rounds. They raced to climb to the summit of Dream Island‘s snow-capped peak, with the first to the top being crowned the winner.

Firey reached the summit first, winning Dream Island in front of millions of viewers. As the new owner, he had full control over the island‘s future, including who could and couldn‘t visit or reside there going forward.

The Island Changes Hands in Later Seasons

In subsequent BFDI seasons, ownership of Dream Island was fought over and exchanged numerous times:

  • Leafy purchased the island outright from the Announcer in BFDIA using a winning lottery ticket
  • The island physically disappeared for a time due to a glitch
  • It reappeared and came back under Firey‘s control briefly in IDFB before being sold again

So while Firey was the original victor and still occasionally reestablishes control, Dream Island has continued to change management over a chaotic near 15 seasons!
