Playing Chivalry 2 with Friends Across Platforms

Chivalry 2 offers crossplay between Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles. This means you can play with your friends no matter what platform they are on. However, directly partying up can be tricky between certain platforms. Here‘s what you need to know:

Adding Epic Friends to Steam

To add your Epic friends in the Steam version of Chivalry 2:

  1. Log in to your Steam account
  2. Log in to the Epic Games Launcher
  3. Click the Friends icon on the right side
  4. At the bottom of your friends list, click "Connect your social account to find friends on Epic Games"
  5. Your Epic friends will now be added to Steam

You can now see your Epic friends in-game on Steam and join their matches via the server browser.

Crossplatform Parties

At the time of writing, you cannot directly party up with friends on other platforms to join a match together. However, using the in-game server browser you can manually join your friend‘s match.

Crossplatform parties are supported between:

  • Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S
  • Playstation 4 and Playstation 5

Crossplatform parties are NOT currently supported between:

  • Steam and consoles
  • Epic Games Store and consoles
  • Steam and Epic Games Store

The developers have stated they hope to expand crossplatform party support in future updates.

Enabling Crossplay

Crossplay is enabled by default in Chivalry 2 across all platforms. If for some reason you need to disable it:

On Consoles:

Go to your console‘s account settings and disable the "Crossplatform Play" option.

On PC (Steam & Epic):

There is no setting to disable crossplay on PC. The only way is to play in unofficial custom servers that have disabled crossplay.
