Vehicles You CAN‘T Use in GTA Online Heists

As an experienced GTA Online heister, one of the most common questions I get from crews prepping for big jobs is: "What cars can we NOT use during heist missions?"

It‘s critical to know which rides are forbidden when your squad is gearing up with getaway vehicles. Choosing the right set of wheels can be the difference between smoothly cruising off into the sunset millions richer, or getting stranded under a hail of gunfire faster than you can alt+F4.

So let this guide serve as your go-to resource for which vehicles get the red light in heists. I‘ll also suggest better alternatives that will have you speeding to lucrative freedom.

Forbidden Fruits

First, the worst news for chaos lovers everywhere:

Weaponized vehicles are strictly verboten in heists.

That means all you wannabe Oppressor griefers can park those hoverbikes during jobs. Same goes for Deluxos, Scramjets, and Vigilantes.

It‘s a downer, I know. But look on the bright side – now you get to challenge yourself running heists the pure way rather than cheesing it!

Other off-limit vehicles include:

  • APCs
  • RC Vehicles
  • Pegassi Toreador
  • Khanjali Tank
  • Any Pegasus vehicle (e.g. Rhino Tank)

So if you insist on rocking one of those during prep missions, be prepared to whistle for a basic ride when the main event starts.

Optimal Heist Mobiles

Now for the fun part – the best legal vehicles for heists that will give your crew a leg up.

Armored Vehicles

When coming under heavy fire (and you will), nothing beats the protection of an armored ride. The Armored Kuruma tops our list – its speed and armor make it ideal for daring escapes or tactical insertion.

For beastly offensive resistance, the Insurgent Pickup Custom is your ticket. This hardcore hauler can take anything the cops or rivals throw at it while letting passengers blast back.

Other top armored choices:

  • Nightshark – Nearly as tough as the Insurgent, with increased speed
  • Weaponized Tampa – Loaded with frontal mortars to deter pursuers

Fast & Furious

Sometimes armor takes a backseat to pure speed for getaways. To blow off foes in the dust, elite heisters recommend:

  • Banshee 900R – Lightning-quick supercar, just watch those tight turns
  • Itali GTB/Itali GTB Custom – Nearly as fast as the 900R, but with a bit more control

Just beware these featherweights can‘t take much punishment!

Submersibles

When infiltrating drug lord territories (I‘m looking at you, Cayo Perico), a stealthy underwater insertion is clutch.

The Kosatka submarine is tried-and-tested for underwater approaches. Stow scuba gear onboard for covert ops.

Amphibious cars like the armor-plated Stromberg provide versatile infiltration capabilities on land and sea.

Best Overall

While personal preference plays a role, here‘s our picks for best overall heist vehicles:

  1. Armored Kuruma – Ticks all boxes with its 4 seats, speed, and durability
  2. Insurgent Pickup Custom – Beastly tough, packing serious firepower
  3. Banshee 900R – Blazing fast as a getaway ride
  4. Kosatka – Purpose-built for the Cayo Perico heist

There you have it choombas – now get out there and pull off those lucrative scores in style! Hopefully our top tips give your crew the winning edge.
