Which car is the Trackhawk in GTA 5?

As an avid GTA fan, I get asked a lot – which car is the Trackhawk in Grand Theft Auto V? The short answer, unfortunately, is none. GTA 5 does not have a direct equivalent to the 707-horsepower supercharged Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk as of now.

However, Rockstar has still brought some epic modern American muscle to the game. A few vehicles come close to matching the Trackhawk’s aggression or performance. Let’s compare them to the real-world Trackhawk specs and see how they stack up!

Bravado Gresley – Strong Visual Appeal

For looks alone, no GTA car resembles today’s Dodge Durango SRT or Trackhawk models better than the Bravado Gresley. As GTA wiseguys have noted, it’s instantly recognizable as a Dodge Durango due to the square profile, crosshair grille, and overall badass personality (GTA Boom).

I’m disappointed the Gresley doesn’t have a supercharged Hemi under the hood to truly match its real-world muse. But for dominating streets in style, the Gresley captures the essence of the Trackhawk’s menacing aesthetic. I’d love to see Rockstar release a more powerful, tuned-up version in the future.

Vigero ZX – Modern Muscle Car Dominance

GTA’s newest speed demon, the Declasse Vigero ZX, may be my best pick for filling the Trackhawk’s shoes performance-wise.

This slick coupe is earning notoriety as the fastest vehicle in GTA Online today. With its $1.9 million price tag, I expected big things – and the Vigero ZX delivers. Here’s a preview of what this “new Camaro” brings to the table (The Drive):

  • Incredible acceleration – perfect for jumping off the line
  • A 157+ mph top speed once fully modded – true hypercar territory!
  • Impressive traction for a RWD car – essential for taming all that power
  • The prestige of one of GTA’s most exclusive new supercars

The Vigero ZX may not have the Jeep’s SUV form factor – but it can definitely match the oomph and then some. For sheer performance, it’s my top pseudo-Trackhawk recommendation.

Gauntlet Hellfire – Modern Muscle Mastery

When it comes to putting power down with American V8 muscle, no GTA car right now does it better than the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire. Rockstar neatly based it on the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat (SportsKeeda). And with its supercharged V8, the Hellfire does the Hellcat legacy proud.

I’m a big fan of the Hellfire’s powerful torque and responsive handling. Traction can be an issue off the line, but is easily tuned. And when fully upgraded, this modern muscle icon has acceleration that stays neck-and-neck with Grotti supercars.

The Hellfire may not have AWD out of the box like the Trackhawk. But if you’re craving 700+ horsepower in a tamed muscle car package, the Hellfire delivers.

Performance Showdown: GTA Contenders vs IRL Jeep Trackhawk

Let’s pit the top GTA “Trackhawk competitors” side-by-side and see how their stats compare:

VehicleEngineHP0-60 MPHTop Speed
Jeep TrackhawkSupercharged 6.2L V8707 hp3.5 sec180 mph
Bravado GresleySingle-cam V8500 hp (est.)4.5 sec (est.)155 mph
Declasse Vigero ZXHigh-output V8600 hp (est.)3.8 sec157+ mph
Bravado Gauntlet HellfireSupercharged V8600 hp (est.)4.1 sec155 mph

Based on the stats, the Vigero ZX seems to come the closest to matching the Jeep Trackhawk’s other-worldly performance numbers. While the Hellfire features a similarly tuned-up engine, its traction issues hurt off-the-line acceleration by a few ticks. And the Gresley simply can’t keep up horsepower-wise.

So while no car perfectly replicates the unique combo of luxury SUV packaging and supercar power that the Trackhawk provides, the Vigero ZX would be my personal pseudo-Trackhawk of choice in GTA 5 right now.

Of course, Rockstar could change that at any time by releasing a new update with the long-awaited Trackhawk parody car we’ve been waiting for!

When Will GTA 5 Finally Add the Trackhawk?

As a gaming analyst and self-proclaimed Dodge fanboy, I predict Rockstar is holding the Trackhawk in its back pocket for a future major content drop. It fits nicely into an empty niche in the game, reserved for what I call “luxury super-SUVs.”

I anticipate they’ll add it alongside other new body styles missing from the game, like a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator equivalent. I’d guess we’ll see these as part of a big DLC around Q1 2024.

It just seems like too obvious an oversight not to have America’s SUV speed king repped in the game! What do you think – am I way off base, or is a Trackhawk appearance inevitable? Let me know in the comments!

In the meantime, the Bravado Gresley, Declasse Vigero ZX, and Gauntlet Hellfire are your best options for bringing Trackhawk energy to the streets of Los Santos. Race you to the finish line!
