Does Domino‘s Take EBT in 2024? Everything You Need To Know

Using your Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card to order takeout or delivery is a convenient way to use Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. However, not all restaurants accept EBT payments. So what‘s the deal with Domino‘s?

Here‘s a comprehensive look at how EBT cards work at Domino‘s pizza locations across the country.

Overview of The Restaurant Meals Program

First things first – the standard SNAP program does not allow recipients to use EBT cards to buy prepared hot foods or restaurant meals. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) only authorizes EBT for groceries.

However, the USDA does administer the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP) through state welfare agencies. This gives EBT recipients who may not be able to cook or store meals the ability to use benefits at approved restaurants in certain areas.

Currently 7 states have active Restaurant Meals Programs – Arizona, California, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Rhode Island, and Virginia. However, not every city and county within those states participates. Local welfare offices decide which jurisdictions to enroll based on need.

Over 1.5 million SNAP households included someone age 60 or older in FY 2020. Meanwhile, nearly 4 million households had at least one non-elderly member with a disability in FY 2019. The Restaurant Meals Program makes it possible for many in these groups to get hot meals using EBT.

Does Domino‘s Accept EBT in My State?

Domino‘s locations can choose to enroll in their state‘s Restaurant Meals Program. However, it‘s up to each individual franchise owner to decide. Here are the states where EBT is accepted at select Domino‘s:

All Other States

If your state is not listed above, EBT cards cannot be used to pay at Domino‘s. You can contact your local SNAP office to advocate for joining the Restaurant Meals Program.

Confirm EBT Acceptance at Your Local Domino‘s

To confirm if a specific Domino‘s location participates in the RMP:

  1. Visit the Domino‘s store locator and enter your address.

  2. Click the location and find the phone number.

  3. Call and ask to speak with a manager. Ask them directly, "Do you accept EBT cards under the Restaurant Meals Program?"

Policies can vary even within the same city or county, so it‘s essential to verify directly with each store.
