Does Forza Horizon 5 premium have all DLC?

As an avid Forza fan who has played every Horizon release extensively, I get asked this question a lot:

"Does the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition give you access to all downloadable content (DLCs)?"

The short answer is no. However, Premium Edition still covers the most popular and valuable add-ons that I would recommend based on my hundreds of hours exploring Mexico.

Let‘s break down exactly what‘s included (and what‘s not):

What‘s Included in Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition

  • Base Game (USD $59.99)
  • Car Pass with 42 cars (USD $34.99)
  • VIP Membership (USD $19.99)
  • Expansions Bundle with Hot Wheels and 1 unannounced expansion (USD $39.99)

So with the Premium Edition priced at USD $99.99, you‘re getting around USD $155 worth of content and DLC for $56 off. Definitely a lot of value built in!

Car Pass Analysis

Reviewing the latest Car Pass lineup, it includes some of my personal favorites like the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, Mercedes-AMG ONE, and 1969 Dodge Charger R/T.

Based on Forza Horizon 4 statistics, over 60% of players purchase the Car Pass DLC. Given Horizon 5‘s explosive early success with 10+ million players in the first week, that translates to roughly 6 million copies sold.

So the developers clearly know which cars fans want access to upfront!

VIP Membership Perks

While the included cars themselves already justify Premium to me, VIP membership takes the overall value to another level with:

  • 3 Exclusive VIP cars like Koenigsegg Jesko 2020
  • 2x Credit race rewards
  • Free gifts, player house, emotes
  • Weekly Super Wheelspins

As a hardcore fan chasing that elusive "Unicorn Car", having a weeklyWheelspin with VIP gives many more chances at special rewards without grinding.

Expansions Bundle – Hot Wheels Incoming!

No Forza Horizon game is complete without bonus expansions to extend the fun. For the first time ever, Horizon 5 is getting a Hot Wheels tie-in expansion in July 2022, bringing extreme track pieces and gravity-defying stunts!

It speaks volumes that Playground Games invested effort into partnering with Hot Wheels due to the clear votes of confidence from fans regarding past expansions.

I‘ll gladly take another excuse to log countless hours mastering how to chain sick airtime while not crashing constantly!

What‘s NOT Included in Premium Edition

As you may have realized though, Premium Edition doesn‘t grant access to literally every piece of available Forza Horizon 5 content.

Namely, it does NOT include:

  • Treasure Map (reveals Bonus Boards) – $4.99
  • Formula Drift Car Pack – $8.99
  • Best of Bond Car Pack – $8.99

Treasure map functionality has always been controversial within the fanbase. Some view finding all Bonus Boards manually as a rite of passage and point of pride. Others see it as tedious busywork getting in the way of racing excitement!

I could argue both sides, but ultimately the Premium Edition strikes a fair balance. Paying a few extra dollars to round up every remaining DLC car via a la carte packs feels reasonable for 100% completionists.

How Does Premium Edition Compare to Other Bundles

Alright, so Premium grants loads of content upfront. But how does it stack against other editions or bundles if you want EXTREME access?

Here‘s a full pricing breakdown across all Forza Horizon 5 options:

EditionPrice (USD)Included DLCs
Standard$59.99Base Game Only
Premium$99.99Car Pass, VIP, Expansions Bundle
Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle$114.99Car Pass, ALL Expansions, EVERY Car Pack
Total if bought separately$155N/A

As expected, Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle gives literally everything: 34 extra DLC cars, every expansion etc. But with just a $15 bump in cost over Premium, I consider Premium Edition to offer by far the best value if you‘re selective.

You receive the full Forza Horizon 5 experience focusing on the popular content most players engage heavily with. Then dropping an additional ~$30 overtime on whichever remaining DLCs appeal is more reasonable than 100+ upfront!

At the end of the day, it comes down personal interests. But as a dedicated Forza Horizon gamer, I firmly believe Premium Edition strikes the ideal balance of content volume & bang-for-your-buck.

Hope this helps explain precisely what‘s included! Let me know if any other questions.
