How much is a bag full of gold in Cayo Perico?

As an experienced heister closing in on my 100th completion of the Cayo Perico heist, I‘ve mastered the various compound layouts and loot spawn locations to maximize my take of those sweet gold bars every time. And I‘m here to share my insights on just how much gold is worth in GTA‘s most profitable heist.

Gold Loot Value

Let‘s break down the basics first. In the compound loot rooms:

  • Each gold bar picked up fills about 1.5% of your bag
  • Your player can carry a maximum of 75 gold bars
  • 75 bars fills 75% capacity of your loot bag

When you successfully escape with a 75% full bag of gold bars, your score? A crisp $330,000 lining your offshore account.

Now a savvy looter like me knows you can squeeze a few more gleaming gold ingots into that sack before the seams burst. Fill it to 100% capacity and that full bag of gold rakes in $440,000 once I‘ve left El Rubio‘s island behind and completed the finale!

By the Numbers

Let‘s see the payout difference in table form when your bag is full of gold:

**Gold Bars****Bag Fill %****Payout**
75 bars75%$330,000
100 bars100%$440,000

So squeezing those extra 25 gold bars into your loot bag nets you an extra $110k!

How Gold Compares to Other Loot

While gold brings in the biggest bucks, what about some other high value items you might stumble across in El Rubio‘s storerooms?

  • Artwork – Each painting fills 2% of your bag and a full sack can get up to $380k. But it takes 50 pieces to hit max capacity!
  • Cash – Quick to grab but loses value fast. Full bag only gets $220k-$250k.
  • Cocaine – One brick stack fills 50% capacity, valued around $220k. $440k for a 100% full bag equals gold‘s payout!

So you can see, gold and coke have emerged as the MVP targets to snatch in order to maximize your score.

Approaching from Every Angle

As a solo operative, I‘ve scoped entry points from the air, land and sea. And having cased the joint thoroughly each time, I definitely have preferred routes to grab the most gold:

  • Underwater Tunnel – Enter undetected and access the central loot room quick. But guard density is higher.
  • Front Gate – Most direct path to primary gold vault with least resistance. Higher chance of alerting security.
  • Cliffside – Abseil down to outer vault rooms and use bolt cutters for quick access.

No matter how stealthy or aggressive your style, with practice you can plan a course through the compound to secure every last bar and engage the guards efficiently. Just don‘t let that bag slow you down too much!

Combine Heist Targets for Maximum Payout

While going for the epic 100% gold bag haul, don‘t forget you can grab high value primary targets too! Sneak in a dazzling Pink Diamond necklace worth $1.3 million and your max payout potential tops $1.8 million for a solo run.

Or assemble a four-player crew to share carrying duties and rinse the island clean of gold and valuables. The potential combined take with everyone‘s bags full? A staggering $4 million+ score is achievable!

Just make sure you‘ve got an escape plan for four with that kind of heat incoming…

So now you see the epic earning potential a bag full of Cayo Perico‘s gold has. I hope these insider tips help you pull off the perfect heist! Stay tuned for more of my GTA Online guides.
